On January 8th 2025 my home and the Sable Ceramics studio in Altadena was completely decimated by the Eaton Fire. I was so proud and loved living in Altadena and I hope to eventually return. It was beyond heartbreaking to lose not only my neighborhood and my home but also my studio which included losing my pottery wheel, equipment, tools, clay, raw materials, glazes, recipes, all inventory, and office infrastructure. I never imagined I would be in this position and even now it sometimes still doesnt feel completely real because of the scope of the loss. It has been a slow and often painful process but I am currently making moves to rebuild my studio so that I may get back to designing and making my pottery and art.
